East Midlands Railway (EMR) has unveiled computer-generated images showcasing the anticipated look of the refurbished class 360 Electric Multiple Unit following a £27.6 million upgrade. The improvements are set to enhance the travel experience for passengers utilising the EMR Connect services and the Luton Airport Express, which operate out of London St Pancras International to Luton Airport Parkway, Bedford, Wellingborough, and Kettering.

Among the enhancements passengers can look forward to include better luggage space to accommodate larger cases, a 2+2 seating layout with some facing seats around tables equipped with charging points, airline-style bay seating, and wheelchair accessible toilets and seating area. (see image above). These improvements aim to elevate the overall customer experience for those traveling to the airport or engaging in commuting and local leisure trips to and from the capital.

Of particular note is the EMR Luton Airport Express service, offering a swift, convenient, and sustainable option for traveling to London Luton Airport (LLA). The journey from London St Pancras to the LLA terminal can take as little as 32 minutes, with fares starting at just £10 via the Luton Airport Express and Luton DART. Trains depart every 30 minutes, operating from early morning until late evening on Monday to Saturday, and featuring frequent services on Sundays.
