One of Nottinghamshire's most important houses, Thoresby’s original features are still enjoyed by Warner’s guests today. There are deep armchairs in the vaulted splendour of the Great Hall, and the house’s broad terrace overlooks a croquet lawn and acres of classic parkland. The rooms vary from historic sumptuous four-posters to our simpler standard rooms. There’s a wide range of activities available, including falconry, and live music every night.
On the edge of historic Sherwood Forest, this is one of Nottinghamshire’s grandest houses. Designed in 1864 by Anthony Salvin, architect of the day, rooms combine historic detail and contemporary character with views over 50 acres of classic parkland.

Just got home after a 4 night stay .I cannot fault anything . Excellent room, surroundings . The food in the Market Kitchen was fantastic. Staff very friendly and helpful. I must mention a waitress called Jackie . She went above and beyond for us nothing was too much trouble and she provided excellent service . She was very patient with my mum who has dementia and for that we cannot thank her enough . Made such a difference . We will be back
