The Hotel and Holiday Centre
Centro Ferie Salvatore is set in 2 Hectares (approx 5 acres) of a wonderful Mediterranean oasis, with attractive houses and buildings set amongst the landscaped garden.
Every corner of the garden is completely wheelchair accessible. As well as the sun terraces and the parts that were especially designed for everyone to find private space to sit and dream. There is always something happening at Centro Ferie Salvatore, explore Facebook for events and news or contact us for more information.
To enjoy a holiday in Italy with sun, sand, sea, and good food in an atmosphere where you feel relaxed, that is what Salvatore and Ellen Avagliano set out to offer in their holiday centre.
Irrespective of whether you are a wheelchair user or not. In this beautiful region at the foot of "Monte Circeo" (south of Rome) everybody feels at home.
Accommodation at Centro Ferie Salvatore
All rooms in the centre are designed for wheelchairs, including each shower and bathroom. There are 50 rooms in the centre, all able to offer accommodation to suit the special needs of each guest. Apart from single and double rooms, we can also offer larger family rooms. All beds are at wheelchair height. All furniture in each room can be moved around to suit the individual needs of the guest.
We also have rented bungalow accommodation available at our booking office in Germany. These bungalows are not always equipped or suitable for wheelchair users. They are not equipped for self-catering. The toilets on site are all equipped for the disabled. All entrances and individual doors are wide, and special care has been taken with the shower and toilet facilities- all of which are, of course, suitable for wheelchair clients. Excursions
We arrange excursions around San Felice Circeo and the surrounding area for all our guests and we have a minibus for those who need transport. On the excursions to Rome, Capri, Naples, Vesuvio and other interesting places, there will always be one of our team or a qualified guide, who will know the area intimately and find the nearest wheelchair toilet.
While working in German hospital in the 1960's Salvatore Avagliano recognised a problem. It was not possible for wheelchair users to enjoy the same vacations as able bodied persons. Most disabled persons did not know the feeling of lying in the sun on a beach and enjoying a swim in the open sea. So Salvatore started in the 1970's to bring handicapped people to San Felice in a private initiative. Even though the organization and accommodations where much improvised then. It's been a big success. If you would like to find out more about booking a holiday with us or have any question to ask - please contact us.
