Designed and built with disability in mind, whether you have reduced mobility, have difficulty getting managing stairs, need assistance with everyday tasks, are a wheelchair user or have complex care needs - The Moat House is uniquely equipped to make your stay so much easier!

Of course, totally able-bodied groups are just as welcome to enjoy a holiday here too!

At a Glance:

• Beautiful historic property tastefully decorated and totally non-clinical
• Large rooms throughout with exceptional disability accessibility
• Level access to the whole of the house (with the exception of Bedroom 3)
• Small ramps to front and rear entrances with ramped gardens to the rear
• Lift between ground and first floors
• Ceiling track and mobile hoists to provide 100% "hoist-ability"

Ground Floor:

• A spacious, welcoming reception hall with seating & space for parking/charging powered wheelchairs or mobility scooters and a separate cloak/boot room
• Large Farmhouse Kitchen Dining Room with wheelchair accessible:
  •     Ovens, Cupboards & Fridge
  •     Rise & fall sink, hob & worktop
  •     Large extendable dining table seating up to 14
• Lounge – Sofas, bean bags and Rise & Recline chairs and equipped with Smart TV, DVD, Hi-Fi sound system, piano, Karaoke and games
• Bedroom 1 - Sleeps two in a large room with two "Rise & Fall", profiling single beds with cot-sides & an X-Y ceiling track hoist
• Bathroom 1 - Wet-room with:
  •     Raised seat (50cm) Clos'o'mat toilet with support rails
  •     "Rise & Fall" shower/changing bench
  •     X-Y ceiling track hoist
  •     Level access shower area with grab rails
  •     Lowered basin (80cm) with grab rails 
  •     Emergency alarm
  •     Child's & adult's shower/commode chairs

First Floor:

• Bedroom 2 - Sleeps two in twin or super king-size beds (unfortunately this room is not suitable for powered wheelchairs)
• Bedroom 3 - Sleeps two to four in a large room with king-size bed with optional double sofa bed (unfortunately this room is not wheelchair accessible - 3 step access)
• Bedroom 4 - Sleeps two/three in twin beds  (1 of which is a profiling bed and 1 trundle bed)
• Bedroom 5 - Sleeps two in a double profiling bed & X-Y ceiling track hoist
• Bathroom 2 - Wet-room with: high (90cm) & low (80cm) basins, accessible toilet (41cm) with arm supports, hoist accessible bath with shower over seat

Rentals include Free WiFi, bed linen and towels and a basic welcome pack.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Up to 17 people can be accommodated at The Moat House Annan however it is worth reading the notes below so that you are familiar with the sleeping accommodation configuration options.

Up to 10 people can be comfortably accommodated in the 5 bedrooms

• Up to 2 additional persons can use the double sofa-bed in the lounge - available on request;
• Up to 2 additional persons can use the double sofa-bed in bedroom 3 - available on request;
• Also an additional 3 persons can be slept in deluxe single airbeds - available on request;
