About Lane Head Barns

Morridge View is the first barn to be converted at Lane Head. This traditional stone built former cow barn (or ‘shippon’) looks over farmland to Morridge – a stunning ridge, rising to 1500 ft above sea level with views across the Peak District National Park to the east and to the Welsh hills in the west. More

‘Wow’ that’s the reaction from pretty much everybody when they walk in the door of Morridge View. This luxury self-catering holiday cottage sleeps 10 in five double / twin bedrooms. Three bedrooms have en-suite facilities with one being on the ground floor and suitable for the less able. Two first floor bedrooms can be set up with either a double or two singles to provide flexibility for mixed groups.

The extensive ground floor living area is open plan with well equipped kitchen and dining area where the solid oak table seats 10. It works fabulously well for family gatherings, reunions, birthday parties (see right) and lots of other groups getting together. If you want to relax, the lounge area with 55″ smart TV and a log burner surrounded by comfy sofas is perfect.  A washer and dryer and plenty of space for boots and coats is found in the utility area adjacent to the kitchen.

An oak staircase leads to four first floor bedrooms (two with en-suites), and a family bathroom. The fifth bedroom is on the ground floor.

Accessibility

Morridge View is suitable for parties that include a wheelchair user or someone who can’t manage steps and stairs (more on accessible places to visit here).

• Downstairs double bedroom – en suite wet room has grab rails, shower seat and adapted fittings (see images below)
• Level car parking with solid surface immediately next to a level entrance
• All of the ground floor completely level and with oak floor
• Level private patio area at the rear.

There is excellent Wifi throughout the cottage.
