Impression of the new shepherd's huts

** Please note that the shepherd's huts are being installed in December 2022 **

We are located on our hill farm in north mid wales near Machynlleth. It is suitable for independent wheelchair users, families with wheelchairs users, and Autistic families.

What we offer in accessible terms:

• The views of mountains and valleys, 
• Mountain spring water, not mains. 
• Exclusive use: only hut on our 450 acre upland farm. (We are 45mins from an A&E hospital). 
• Dog friendly upto 4-6 depending on size. 
• Extra wide doorways: 1.2m/4ft 
• Underfloor heating throughout 
• Ramped access
• 2x riser recliner chairs - one with both drop arms, and the other next to it with one drop arm.
• 1m wide gap for a wheelchair user to park in
• Lowered induction hob and sink (80cm clearance underneath).
• Fridge freezer, microwave, whistling kettle.

Large wet room:

• Optional use of the wash and dry function on the toilet, 
• Toilet is transferable from both sides (90cm & 150cm) and pull down grab bars each side with toilet roll holder.
• Wheel in shower  (self propelled shower chair or chair to choose from)
• Shower guards/half height shower doors
• Roll under sink. 

Large bedroom area: 

• Dual electric kingsize divan bed - raises head and feet, and with space under for a mobile hoist. 
• Left side is only accessible for someone to walk around, the right is wheelchair accessible. (We can move the bed to be accessible both sides, if there are only 2 wheelchair users and anyone else is ambulant)

• Single electric divan bed raises head and feet, and with space under for a mobile hoist. 
• Single bed can be moved to allow whole side to be wheelchair accessible. 

• Sensory pod bunk beds. Top bed is a standard single, bottom is a 5ft 9” / 175cm mattress. These pods are enclosed spaces with a sliding door to create a retreat. Twinkle lights on the ceiling and an electric socket to plug games devices into etc 

Curtain can be drawn between the kingsize and single bed/pods. 

Ev charging outside, water tap, and a minimum 5ft 5 high garden fence around the huts to create a secure space. 

The huts use our filtered Mountain spring water. 

There is no wi-fi or TV
